Mr. Ijaz
Ahmad has been serving as the Director of the Regional Meteorological Centre
(RMC) in Peshawar since April 8, 2024. He holds an M.Sc
in Physics from the University of Peshawar (UoP)
in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). He has received extensive professional
training at both national and international levels in the field of
Meteorology. He has authored numerous publications and research articles at
both national and international levels. He has represented Pakistan at
various national and international forums. His previous roles include
working as a Researcher in the Research & Development (R&D)
Division in Islamabad, as a forecaster in the Flood Forecasting Division
(FFD) in Lahore, as an Instructor at the Institute of Meteorology &
Geophysics (IMG) in Karachi, as a Deputy Director at the Geo-Physical
Center (GC) in Quetta, as a Senior Meteorologist/Aviation Forecaster at the
Meteorological Office (MO) at Lahore Airport, and as a Controlling Officer
at RMC Peshawar. He possesses extensive experience in the fields of
Meteorology, Climatology, and Administration.
