· Strong moist monsoon currents are continuously
penetrating into most parts of the region under the influence of monsoon
trough.

· Fairly widespread to widespread rain showers with
thunderstorm and gusty winds is very likely over Chitral (Upper &
Lower), Dir (Upper & Lower), Swat, Buner, Malakand, Battagram, Shangla,
Kohistan (Upper & Lower), Kolai Pallas Kohistan, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Torghar, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi,
Nowshera, Charsadda, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Kohat,
Hangu, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, D.I. Khan, Tank, North & South
Waziristan.
· Heavy to very heavy rain fall is also expected at scattered places
during the forecast period.

rain may generate flash floods in local nullahs/streams/canals/rivers
of Chitral (Upper & Lower), Dir (Upper & Lower), Swat, Buner,
Shangla, Kohistan (Upper & Lower), Kolai Pallas Kohistan, Battagram,
Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda,
Peshawar, Kohat, Karak, Bannu, Tank, D.I.Khan, Kurram and Khyber districts.

Risk of urban flooding is
likely over main cities of the province.
·
Landslides in Chitral,
Dir, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra,
Abbottabad, Kurram and Khyber districts may affect the vulnerable points in
the area during the wet spell.
·
Windstorm &
lightning may damage loose structures like electric poles, vehicles and
solar panels etc.
